Job Summary: We are seeking a Mobile Software Engineer in Test to join our Workplace Solutions Digital Platforms Technology team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining test automation for mobile experiences, working closely with development and business partners to improve CI/CD and test automation processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional mobile experiences using Java and JavaScript-based technologies. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and in-house software utilities for mobile platforms. • Collaborate with other technical teams to suggest improvements to processes, best practices, and standards. • Develop automated tests and software tools in alignment with software engineering best practices. • Apply test-driven design principles to debug and refine automated solutions. • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Groovy scripts, facilitating test suite execution. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leaders, to provide updates on testing progress and solutions. • Identify opportunities to enhance the maintainability and efficiency of the automation platform. • Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to continuous integration and improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications: • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience. • 6+ years of relevant technical experience, particularly in JavaScript-based test automation. • Proficiency in building and maintaining test suites using WebdriverIO, Appium, and TypeScript on Node.js. • Strong understanding of web services testing, including experience with RestAssured or Karate. • Familiarity with CI tools, especially Jenkins, and knowledge of Docker for containerized test execution. • Experience in DevOps environments and authoring automated tests for mobile devices, emulators, and mobile cloud services like Seetest. • Collaborative mindset, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Background in driving innovation processes from end to end. • Experience in a Quality Engineering-focused organization, ideally supporting mobile applications within agile environments. • Familiarity with testing frameworks for mobile applications and cloud-based mobile testing solutions.
