Responsibilities:

As a Software Integration Engineer at Sabre Systems, you will employ your talent towards improving the systems used on the United States Navys most sophisticated Aircraft. The challenge to continually improve the mission capabilities of Navy aircraft requires engagement from the most elite software professionals available. Your talents can make a difference in keeping our ships and sailors safe from threats both above and below the surface of the ocean. The Maritime Surveillance domain requires Software Integration Engineers to familiarize themselves with a wide variety of mission systems, software programming languages and environments. If you want to make meaningful contributions toward keeping naval aircraft systems on the leading edge, then we have a challenge for you!

Join our Team in support of some of the Navys most technologically sophisticated aircraft platforms including the P-8A Poseidon.

  • Work cross functionally with developers and system administrators becoming familiar with system requirements and behaviors
  • Integrate system capabilities in a Red Hat environment
  • Assist developers with installation and configuration, including troubleshooting and remediation
  • Troubleshoot and debug system issues, analyzing root cause in the areas of hardware, network and software issues
  • Assist with release deployment and periodic system/application patching
  • Optimize maintenance and deployments to ensure integrated functionality
  • All candidates should be prepared to participate in processes applicable to software development, integration and test
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachlor's Degree in a Computer Science, Computer Systems Information Management, IT, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics
  • Three (3) years or more of Red Hat experience at an administration level
  • Security+ certification is highly desired
  • Knowledge of fundamental networking concepts
  • Experience with virtualization environments, scripting, troubleshooting software and hardware, and working in an agile environment
  • Experience with PXE and ISCSI interfaces
  • Basic understanding of the Java programming language to support java application integration
  • Requires a good understanding of software development, software applications, system administration and integration and ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with Atlassian suite including Jira and Confluence
  • BitBucket and Bamboo experience is highly desired
  • Ability to work independently, be a problem solver and strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Candidates will be required to pass a background check for this position

Additional experience in the following areas is highly desired:

  • Git version control software
  • Maven
  • IA and STIG application
