ZENDA has an immediate need for a Software Product Owner to join leading our product design and development team through our Alpha release and into our commercial development phase. ZENDAs product is a SaaS business enterprise system that is born of thirty years of business consulting and will transform how business enterprises plan the execution of work. A world class product design team has spent the last three years designing and specifying a platform that will see release to Alpha test sites on August 31, 2024.

In parallel with its product development program, ZENDA operates a management consulting team that is designing the event of work within Fortune 500 business enterprises. Clients partner with ZENDA consultants to explore, define, and solve some of their most pressing operational challenges. ZENDA consulting engagements serve as a source of product design requirements and as a test environment for the ZENDA product.

Job Description

As a Software Product Owner at ZENDA, you will be at the heart of our software design and development process. As a key leader at ZENDA you will be responsible for maintaining and contributing to our collaborative, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. You will be defining and prioritizing product features, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our product meets the needs of our customers and aligns with our business goals. You will work closely with ZENDAs partners, Chief Technology Officer, product design team, offshore development partners, and usability research professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize product features and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a detailed product backlog.
• Create and communicate product roadmaps that align with business objectives and customer needs.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure clear understanding of product requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and decisions.
• Engage in market research efforts and gather customer feedback to inform product development.
• Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Monitor and report on product performance, using data to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with market research and customer feedback analysis.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Will work on-site in our New York offices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in a related field.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.
• Experience in business enterprise operations, process design, management consulting.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles.
