Overview:
The Software QA Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications and systems across the company's origination Data Warehouse (Snowflake), Loan Origination System (LOS), and AWS environments. This role is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. This position is fully remote with a salary range of $80,000 to $110,000, plus an annual bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across the Data Warehouse, LOS, and AWS environments.
- Execute functional, integration, system and regression to validate software changes meet requirements and quality standards.
- Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Analyze and document detailed defects, reproducing steps, and providing clear feedback to development teams.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and provide input on improving software quality and testability.
- Stay updated with emerging testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance the testing processes.
- Assist in creating and maintaining test data repositories and test environments.
- Contribute to the development of test metrics and quality reports for stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide guidance as needed to mortgage technology team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent software QA or information technology experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, with exposure to Data Warehouse, Loan Origination Systems, and AWS environments.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Postman).
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing techniques.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document test cases and defects clearly.
