Our State Software Development Team develops software solutions for Ohio Schools. We are a dynamic team of developers who follow agile practices including sprints, code reviews, CI, CD, automated unit and functional testing.Successful candidates will be current on industry tools, standards and practices. Experience working on a software development team is preferred.Desired Qualifications:Minimum of an associate degree in a technology related field or equivalent experienceExperience developing unit, integration and functional testsKnowledge and experience with the Java programming language is preferredExperience working closely with software developers to verify functionality is being implemented per specificationsExperience creating test plans and implementing testing protocols (both automated and manual) to ensure software quality, prevent software defects and eliminate regressionsKnowledge of agile software development practicesCandidates with knowledge of Ohio State Software Applications are preferredApplicants are expected to describe, document or demonstrate:Software testing aptitude, strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, excellent organization and time management skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members, excellent writing and communication skillsThe successful candidate will work remotely. Occasional travel throughout Ohio will be required. This full-time position includes an excellent benefits package along with a salary commensurate with education, experience and the successful candidate's potential for excellence.
