Job Description:

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, program, document, analyze, create, test, and modify the company's software infrastructure based on management requirements.

• Create or modify programs to adapt to changes in needs and requirements, adhering to defined specifications and meeting timelines.

• Expected to handle assignments with increased complexity and scope.

• Read, understand, and troubleshoot coded computer instructions and how they translate into data.

• Review, test, and validate coded program routines and data, making revisions and eliminating processing errors.

• Assist in gathering, documenting, and refining business, data, and system specifications from business users and translate that to actual business software applications and documentation.

• Develop a basic understanding of the operations of the systems and technology used within the company.

• Understand management requirements and translate those into workable programming code.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of existing company software infrastructure and databases.

• Make recommendations to managers regarding developing third-party software products that should be integrated to help business operations.

• Act as an escalation point for internal support and customer service departments, resolving various customer-facing issues regarding application performance, environment deployment, service issues, and technical questions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The successful candidate will be highly motivated and self-starting.

• The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

• Experience working in a healthcare or manufacturing company is desirable; a working knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail

• Works well in a team environment but can work individually as well.

• Able to work with a diverse group of people.

Education/Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent degree is required.

• At least three years of systems software support experience preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of at least one computer language required; in-depth knowledge of multiple computer languages preferred, such as Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, Transact SQL

• Experience with Dynamics Great Plains, Salespad, and Microsoft SQL administration is highly preferred.

Computer Skills:

• Demonstrate ability/willingness/eagerness to learn new technologies.

• Demonstrate openness for learning, growth, and coaching by peers and more senior-level employees.

• Excellent working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

• Demonstrate ability to do effective problem-solving and troubleshooting.

• Perform tasks within predefined guidelines and procedures as assigned by the manager or project team.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of/Familiarity with Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, Transact SQL, and other programming languages.

• Knowledge of/Familiarity with web services, SQL Server, and other Microsoft technologies a plus.

• Knowledge of/Familiarity with Dynamics Great Plains, Salespad, Magento, EDI, Mic

Responsibilities

  • Maintain system efficiency
  • Ensure system design allows all components to work together properly
  • Work with internal employees to automate or enhance software applications to improve efficiency
  • Evaluate and modify system performance
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing ERP system (Dynamics Great Plains & Salespad)
  • Create and troubleshoot SQL queries and SSRS reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 7 years experience in the IT field
  • 3+ years' experience as a System Administrator or Software Support role
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Salespad, SQL Administration preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • ERP Experience and implementation preferred
