Responsibilities:
- Work in a Test Team environment with multiple systems under test.
- Conduct Independent Verification and Validation, Regression, functional tests.
- Engineer test architectures.
- Develop test scenarios, concepts, and strategies.
- Author test plans, detailed test procedures.
- Interpret system requirements and create testable requirements.
- Read, interpret, and apply .xsd and other schema documentation to test results.
- Create test measures, critical operational issue, operational capabilities, measures of evaluation, measures of performance.
- Incorporate message processing business and normalization rules into tests procedures.
- Create test messages in various formats.
- Monitor and report server performance during capacity tests.
- Make data collection forms, collect test data, and perform data analysis.
- Prepare Quick Look briefings and final test reports.
- Document deficiencies and update status in Visual Studio Team Foundation Server.
- Develop and execute automated tests utilizing Test Complete or similar software.
- Prepare and present briefings (Test Readiness Review, Quick Look, deficiency status).
- Develop test schedules to include task lines, resource requirements, dependencies, time schedules and critical path.
- Perform installation and checkout procedures in operational environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance and able to obtain a DOD Top Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for SCI
- Four years of progressively complex experience in probability, reliability, maintainability, statistical analysis methods, sampling and test and evaluation techniques, data collection and familiarity with applicable regulations and standards.
- Specific experience must have been in the areas of development testing at both component and system level; preparation, review and analysis of failure reports, verification of corrective actions; requirement validation and their translation and trace to technical requirements and test specifications; and preparation and review of detailed test plans/procedures/reports.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree of science in engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience in progressively more complex work experience in engineering or scientific discipline
- Proficient in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Experienced in executing test cases and documenting test results
- Skilled in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with various types of testing (functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in providing test reports and metrics to stakeholders
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Strong analytical skills for effective test planning and execution
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate results
- Basic understanding of Group Policy and Change Management best practices.
- Understanding of IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP and basic subnetting principles.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Security Principles to include Password Policy, Physical Security, Access Control and Risk Assessment and Mitigation.
- Experience using Wireshark, tcpdump and Putty.
