A well-established, employee-owned construction business is looking for Solar Construction Project Managers.
Their EPC side of the business operates across multiple countries and has a particularly strong presence in the U.S. They have built over 4.5 GW of solar and have a robust pipeline. Their solar division now has over 150 people and has sites in states such as Washington, Texas, and Ohio.
After six months of employment, you will have the option to purchase shares and earn dividends in the following year.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing contract administration and providing technical expertise and support for mid-sized construction projects.
- Developing and enforcing the project safety plan, leading by example to ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Ensuring the project is executed according to design specifications, budget constraints, available resources, quality standards, and the established schedule.
- Understanding client objectives and suggesting value engineering options to enhance functionality, reduce costs, and optimize the schedule.
- Identifying and mitigating risks while capitalizing on opportunities throughout the construction project.
You will be required to have:
- A Bachelors degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a construction project manager role, ideally with some solar experience.
- Proven experience in fostering a strong safety culture through the application of health, safety, and environmental principles and regulations.
- Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry, including materials, specifications, methods, procedures, construction law, building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and time management abilities, with expertise in managing project budgets and schedules.
- Competence in identifying and managing risks and opportunities within construction projects.
