The Role:
We are on the hunt for a solar design engineer to join an engineering design company. This role is based in NJ and will work a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Worth with a Senior Engineer, actively participating in electrical systems design for PV projects
- Developing final construction documents from established concept designs or Design Development drawings.
- Heavy production load
- Design drafting of electrical construction documents using AutoCAD
- Electrical distribution design and single line preparation
- Voltage calculations and conductor / raceway sizing
- Detailed PV Syst calculations
- Utility coordination
- Code review
- Preparation of specifications
Essential Skills/Experience:
- 1-3 years of PV design experience
- AutoCAD and ETAP
- Electrical background
