**Overview:**

We're seeking an organized and customer service-oriented Solar InsideSales Representative to join our growing, mission-driven team in Waterbury, VT. As the Solar Inside Sales Representative (also knows as a Solar Advisor), you will play a key role in our residential sales process by creating collaborative relationships with potential customers to determine if solar could be right for them. You will work with people from all backgrounds, and with varying perspectives about renewable energy, to answer questions, perform initial analysis of site viability, schedule home visits, and explain the home visit process to our customers.

The majority of customer interactions happen on the phone and via email, with the occasional in-person visit at our office. Most communication happens during normal work hours, Monday-Friday, but we are there for our customers to follow up when they need us which may include nights and weekends.

**What youll do as the Solar Inside Sales Representative:**

* Connect with qualified homeowners and small business owners via phone/email to discuss solar options and determine viability for solar

* Establish and build rapport with the customer

* Explain the value of solar, and speak eloquently and passionately about our mission

* Assess initial viability for solar using Google Earth and other tools

* Qualify leads based on solar viability, credit worthiness, and motivations for going solar

* Meet daily, weekly and monthly qualified visits scheduled goals

* Accurately log all communications with customers in CRM contact database

* Generate leads and sales through networking and referral opportunities

* Operate in collaborative, team atmosphere giving and taking feedback to improve your personal performance as well as that of your team and the entire business

**What were looking for:**

* 2+ years of successful customer service experience and a Bachelors degree, or combination of experience and education.

* Sales and/or solar industry experience is a plus but not required

* Must have a strong commitment to SunCommons purpose and vision

* Sales-oriented and goal-driven

* Exceptional customer service skills

* Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment, meet tight deadlines, and effectively handle multiple priorities at any given time

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Flexible schedule, as some evening and weekend work is required

* Computer Proficiency. Comfort with Microsoft Office suite, Google, and data management is required; experience with Salesforce is a plus!

**Pay:** $17 - $20 per hour, based on experience
