LABORER APPRENTICE-SOLAR PROJECTS
SUMMARY: As a Solar Laborer Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of solar farm projects. You will work closely with a team under the direction of the superintendent to complete the Key Responsibilities safely and efficiently.
Pay Range: Prevailing wages depending on location of site work.
POSITION: Laborer Apprentice-Solar Projects
DEPARTMENT: EPC
REPORTS TO: Site Superintendent
TERMS/HOURS: Full-time, M-F, 7:00AM-3:30PM
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Non-exempt
WORK AUTHORIZATION: US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to):
- Assist with Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPPP) and site restoration at the sites.
- Mowing & weed-eating tasks.
- Assist in the quality control of the installation of solar racking or panels, including lifting and positioning panels and racking systems.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any issues to the superintendent.
- Count inventory and maintain inventory controls.
- Prep project sites and load/unload materials/equipment from trucks and other vehicles.
- Assist with the installation of project signage and postings.
- Installation of temporary fencing.
- Hand dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact soil.
- Assist in any concrete installation and or stone placement and compaction.
- Clean up debris and materials.
- Provide support as needed during project execution.
- Understands and follows all safety requirements.
- Attend and participate in JHA s and toolbox talks
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in construction or electrical work is a plus.
- OSHA 10 (if you do not have this training, we will get you in this training as part of the on boarding)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1 year of practical experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Typical construction site environment.
- Requires working in hot (above 80 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
- Work around hazardous equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, and sit for extended periods during the day.
- Regularly use hand to reach; ability to talk and hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
