JOB SUMMARY:The Solution Based Casework (SBC) Supervisor will be accountablefor providing day-to-day support, leadership, and general supervision to theirassigned unit. The SBC Supervisor is responsible for maintaining adherence tothe Family Support Solution Based Casework (SBC) Model for their assigned unit.The Solution Based Casework (SBC) practice model is based on threetheoretical foundations: family life cycle theory, relapse prevention/CBTtheory, and solution-focused family therapy. Partnership with families in eachand every case is critical to reducing risks and solutions should utilizeprevention skills to achieve those goals. AAFSC serves families city-widethrough this model. The Supervisor will effectively support and supervise atrauma-informed, culturally responsive, and linguistically appropriatecommunity-based preventive program that focuses on providing counseling andclinical interventions to at-risk children and families. Supervisors willassist in the overall functioning of the program with the goal of reducing thenumber of children who enter into the foster care system. The most successfulcandidate will be one who has strong administrative and management skillsincluding strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination ofgovernment agency requirements. He or she will be organized, professional, anddetail oriented, will thrive under pressure, and be willing to work on multipleprojects. A commitment to immigrant, refugee and low-income communities willalso be essential for success in this role. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Program Supervision•Manageand delegate responsibilities involved in day-to-day SBC program operations toallow for efficient and streamlined programming.•Provideweekly individual supervision to four (4) case planners.•Write-upand upload monthly documentation of supervisory reviews. Ensure timely uploadof reviews.•Remainup to date on case history and progress of cases to be able to provide adequatesupervision on casework practice.•Conductroutine internal reviews of case files to ensure ACS compliance.•Incollaboration with Director of Training and Development as well as ProgramDirector, take the lead in ensuring quality onboarding of new staff, as well ason-going training of all assigned case planners.•Monitorand adjust time sheets as needed.•Practiceand encourage office norms (use of calendars, checking email, etc.).•Submitclosing packets.•AttendElevated Risk Conferences (ERCs) and Child Safety Conferences.•Conductemployee three-month evaluations and annual evaluations.•Assigncases to Case Planners using Purchased Preventive Risk Services (PPRS)databases.•Facilitatecommunication between case planners through one-on-one supervision as well asscheduling and hosting monthly team meetings.•Communicateregularly with staff and troubleshoot issues related to casework with the helpof Program Director (when needed).•Reviewand approve Family Assessment and Service Plan (FASP) and Plan Amendmentsubmissions, all supervisory documentation and case consultations.•Collaboratewith Program Director to ensure that all staff training needs are continuallymet.•Provideongoing training and coaching to support effective implementation of theSolution-Based Casework Model& ensure timely completion of certification.•Ensurequality professional development of case planners.Quality Assurance•EnsureFamily Team Conferences (FTCs) are being held within a timely manner (within 4weeks of FASP due date, as well as uploaded using proper coding.Review and ensure quality of casenotes, FASP reports, etc.•Ensuretimely uploads of casework contacts, notes (within 5 business days), FASPreports, etc. All contacts must be added to the Preventive OrganizationManagement Information System (PROMIS) by the 5th of the following month.•Reviewcasework documents (legal documents, furniture requests, InvestigativeConsultation (IC) forms, etc.).•Collaboratewith the Program Director to ensure program meets all city and state fundingtargets and benchmarks (for instance, safety assessments, case work contacts,family team conferences, preventive based funding targets, etc.).•Provideassistance to ensure that program is in compliance with all case planning andsupervisory documentation.•Ensureconfidentiality requirements are observed and practiced.•Attendinternal and external trainings.•Assistin intake component of the program: Joint Home Visit (JHV), assessing AdvocatePreventive Only (ADVPO) cases, etc.•Ensuremonthly casework contacts are conducted.•Ensurecase files are up to date.•Ensurequality casework practice, which includes safety and risk assessment ofchildren and families and case progress.•Appropriatelyfollow incident reporting procedures.Data, Evaluation, & External Relationships•Ensuredata entry meets contractual and AAFSC program requirements.•Practiceattention to detail and maintain responsibility and dependability in datareporting to external and internal database platforms.•Trackand offer suggestions for improvements in key performance indicators forpreventive services.•Attendregular meetings and special events as neededTrainings, Meetings, and Audit Preparation•Attendtraining provided by ACS, Solution Based Casework, and other organizations asrequired (minimum of 42 hours/6 days each fiscal year) and log training bysubmitting certificates to the Director of Training and Development.•Attendinternal meetings as scheduled, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team(e.g., monthly supervision).•Assistin preparation of internal and external audits (COQI, PAMS, safety alerts,etc.) related to the program operation and delivery of services.Other Duties & Responsibilities•Participatein AAFSC management meetings.•Inthe absence of PD, take on additional responsibilities as needed.•Conducthome visits as needed.•Participatein interviews of potential new staff.•Participatein other meetings and conferences as needed.•Inthe absence of FTC Facilitator, this role may cover any FTC duties as long asthey are not the same supervisor on the case.•Performother duties assigned as necessary by Director.BACKGROUND & POSITION REQUIREMENTS:•Master'sDegree in Social Work, Psychology or related field required.•Previousmanagement experience in Preventive Services highly preferred as well asknowledge of child welfare and ACS mandates.•Ensureethical casework practice is being done.•Musthave experience in using CONNECTIONS, PROMIS, Data Warehouse, and STARS.•Knowledgeof the Preventive Measurement Assessment System (PAMS) strongly preferred.•Minimumof 2 years of experience in creating, implementing, and measuring effectivenessof programs preferred.•Bilinguallanguage ability as well as experience working with immigrant, refugee andlow-income communities is strongly preferred, including Arabic, Urdu, and/orBengali language skills.•Excellentwriting, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required as well ascompetency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.•Flexibilityto work occasional evenings and weekends to manage crises, attend events, ormeetings.•Jobcontingent on pre-employment background check and fingerprint clearance.•U.S.Work
