About the Job:

Reports to the billing supervisor. This position is responsible for reviewing encounters for accurate insurance information to minimize errors that may cause billing denials or delays to timely claim submission.

What Youll Do:

• Works on various reports to ensure patient registration information is accurate and complete for proper billing
• Ensures that health plans are registered accurately and timely for claim submission
• Develops a strong knowledge of eligibility resources
• Utilizes internal and external resources to verify coverage
• Ensures that encounters are verified for eligibility and all active plans are correctly allocated and entered into the Patient accounting systems

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or GED, Required
• 1-2 years experience in billing or patient access, Required
• Healthcare customer service experience, Required
