POSITION OVERVIEW The Solutions Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance on end-to-end cloud systems infrastructure and platform architecture. Provides optimal architecture recommendations for creating infrastructure foundational services that support several key internal and external customer applications. The Solution Architect will work as a liaison between the product engineering, cloud platform and security teams. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Enterprise Architecture, the Solutions Architect will be part of the enterprise architecture group and be a key contributor in defining enterprise architecture standards, supporting enterprise architecture roadmap, technology modernization and optimization strategies. Also, the Solutions Architect is expected to have a results-oriented mindset, foster an environment of continuous improvement, and have a proven record as a technology leader. This role is primarily remote, requiring minimal onsite attendance except for quarterly change-of-pace days, which are mandatory for all employees in the organization. While this role can be designated as remote, you are offered the flexibility to select if you prefer to work primarily remote, hybrid, or on-site. We're open to considering candidates within 50 miles of our office location in Philadelphia, PA.   • Responsible for a feasibility study or to prepare a solution vision or solution patterns for any new services/technologies that supports technology modernization activity and enterprise architecture program
  • Prior architecture experience in implementing cloud infrastructure solutions and hybrid cloud migrations/integrations using AWS cloud native technologies, unified continuous integration and deployment platforms (CI/CD) and Identity as a service platform (iDaaS).
  • Ability to think beyond convention with exceptional insights to meet future requirements
  • Exceptional analytical and organization skills with a detail-oriented attitude
  • Create, maintain and optimize cloud architectures, ensuring scalability, availability and cost effectiveness.
  • Proactively identifies areas of deficiency or opportunities for improvement and conduct proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies and tools
  • Works closely with infrastructure, security and application development teams on a technical review of the solution and consults with enterprise architecture review board to ensure adherence to the enterprise architecture and security standards
  • Collaborates well with cross functional teams to effectively communicate and roll out the enterprise architecture standards
  • Supports overall technical vision for infrastructure and technology domains that comprise an architectural solution and modernization strategy
  • Demonstrates ability to work totally independently with virtually no supervision
  • Demonstrates exceptional ability to define the problem, research and propose a pragmatic and cost-effective solution
  • Demonstrates successful track record as the lead cloud architect for large and complicated cloud modernization projects
  • Frequently serves in a leadership capacity to share advanced tips and techniques and/or newly acquired technical/business knowledge with peers and mentor junior staff on emerging technologies and architecture patterns
  • Exercises positive influence in change and improvement through excellent technical leadership skills
QUALIFICATIONSSkills and Abilities
  • Expert in designing and building large scale enterprise infrastructure, application and security solutions with high availability and resilience.
  • Expertise in automating infrastructure configurations using infrastructure as code (IaC) such as AWS cloud formation templates, AWS SAM and AWS SDK
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in some of the following IT technologies: AWS platform architecture, monitoring, security (IAM and PAM), continuous integration and delivery (AWS CI/CD), application development (JAVA, Python, Angular, etc.), serverless web application architecture (Lambda, API gateway and Cognito)
  • Expertise in leveraging AI technologies to achieve automation, operational efficiencies and self-service capabilities
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams
Experience
  • 15 or more years of hands-on experience in Information Technology with expertise in designing platform architecture for public cloud hosting platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • 7+ years of experience in implementing solutions using AWS cloud services, CI/CD, Identify as a service (IDaaS) and Artificial intelligence technologies (ML/NLP/ GPT LLM)
  • Hands on experience with setting up AWS load balancers, cloud networks, and virtual servers
  • Track record of providing solutions for cross reginal applications deployments to achieve high availability and zero downtime.
  • Nice to have expertise in creating API's using integration platforms such as Boomi
  • Demonstrated hands on experience in multiple programing languages and architecture patterns
Education
  • Bachelor's degree
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification is a must

Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
