Job DetailsJob Location Reading PA - West Lawn, PA DescriptionPosition: Solutions Architect Reports To: Director of Solutions Architecture Division: Solutions Architecture FSLA: Exempt Office Designation: Hybrid Office Location: 1121 Snyder Road West Lawn, PA 19609 The Solutions Architect will work directly with our New Business Development Executives, Technical Account Managers, and Technical Services teams by supporting the pre-sales and internal sales processes. The Solutions Architect is an integral position within our sales department who assists the Sales Team concerning the technical knowledge of products and services. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to take a set of requirements and turn them into a full-fledged architecture and design that is the blueprint of a successful solution. This person should have experience designing, configuring, installing, migrating, and supporting IT environments, with an emphasis on network buildouts, hosted and cloud deployments and email migrations. This person must also be detail oriented, have the ability to multitask and be comfortable working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Omega Systems is a rapidly growing IT consulting firm and we are looking for individuals who want to grow with us. Functional Responsibility and Task Statements
- Assist Sales Representatives with technical knowledge pertaining to the products and services offered by the company.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to the Sales Team, customers, and prospects.
- Provide technical specifications for quotes and prepare accompanying materials.
- Interpret customer requirements; speak with customers or prospects to understand their needs and relay this information to the Sales Representative.
- Perform technical presentations that demonstrates how products and services can benefit and meet customer or prospect needs.
- Serve as liaison with other departments in the company to gather technical expertise for supporting the Sales Team.
- Conduct onsite or remote customer site surveys as needed in order to gather the information required to accurately architect an entire solution.
- Scrutinize project constraints to analyze alternatives, mitigate risks, and conduct process re-engineering, as necessary.
- Analyze technical and business requirements and recommend best practices for the entire solution.
Technical Responsibility and Task Statements
- Effectively utilize and update Salesforce CRM database.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness when collecting data on customers including utilizing ConnectWise, IT Glue, and other company applications and tools.
- Take a proactive role with problem resolution at the customer level.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings of the company.
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Be able to conduct an architectural system evaluation and provide an analysis of the technology environment.
- Efficiently communicate with the customer and sales representatives throughout the pre-sales design and proposal stages.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. Travel Requirements: Moderate travel is required for this position. Desired Qualifications and Skills
- BA/BS Degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience with preference in information technology or sales.
- Technical background, with previous experience in a technical role.
- Proven track record in sales and knowledge of technology.
- Experience in IT infrastructure and engineering design.
- Enjoy working with customers and external audiences.
- Analytical ability to determine best approach to clients on an individual basis.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Skill in preparing written communications and materials.
- Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
- Possess a positive attitude, insightful, energetic and a great problem solver.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and ConnectWise a plus.
