Job Title: Solutions Architect (Virtual)
Background/Need:
The Group uses our experience developing sensors and decision support software to build systems that are used around the world for coordinating responses to wildfires, aiding urban search-and-rescue missions, assessing damage after hurricanes and earthquakes, and planning for large-scale evacuations. We work closely with local, state, and federal agencies to develop these systems. Our goal is to enable responders to more effectively gain situational awareness, share information, and make decisions in times of crisis. We also prototype technologies, such as communication hubs and solar-powered resources, to aid disaster survivors and refugee populations. Many of our programs involve collaboration across Laboratory groups whose technologies can be applied to disaster and humanitarian missions.
Must Have:
-UAV, UAS
-Databasing (SQL or NoSQL)
-JSON, Protobuf, and SQL-Based Databases
-R, Python, SQL, and Machine Language Algorithms and Data Analysis
-Translates Business Requirements into Technical Specifications
-Software Architecture
-Software Design/Development
-XML and SQL
-Cloud-based Solutions (e.g. AWS, AZURE, Google)
-Determine Systems Specifications
-Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
-Hardware and Software Integration
-Netcentric Software and Systems Architecture
-Systems Analysis
-Systems Architecture
-Experience with PDAL and GDAL
Nice to Have:
-Radar Systems Architecture
-LIDAR Processing
Education & Experience: Bachelor's with 8+ Years of relevant work experience.
Work Authorization: US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance is required due to the nature of the work.
