  • *Application Window is expected to close on 10/17/2024**Candidate must be located in New Jersey, USWhat you'll do:As a solutions engineering leader, you will provide technical direction, business mentorship, and leadership to the operation sales team. You will drive revenue through account planning, resource planning and allocation. You will actively develop and maintain a team of hard-working SEs and continually seek creative methods for improving team performance. You will help meet operational revenue goals by driving programs and leading day-to-day activities. You will lead and grow the systems engineering team's talent and expertise and learn how to build a territory plan by compiling SE feedback and adding knowledge of market demand. You will create a technical resource plan for the territory and collaborate with the region to prioritize and target team opportunities; and review quantitative information to identify and explain trends. You will understand mechanisms for establishing team capacity, improving team performance and align resources to deliver on commitments and get results.Who you are: You will have experience building collaborative relationships based on trust and dedication, and developing connections at multiple levels within customer accounts by understanding their business models. You should have an advanced understanding of inter-networking industry trends, including new products and solutions, and be able to articulate trade-offs between Cisco and competitor products. The role involves developing team members' capabilities to support their career goals and team objectives, driving account and resource planning in collaboration with the Regional Manager, and applying standard methodologies to achieve business results. The candidate should be able to communicate a clear vision and strategy for accounts, exercise personal influence without direct authority, and translate Cisco's vision into a compelling value proposition. Additionally, they will build the necessary capabilities to meet short and long-term goals, develop a strong talent pipeline, support team members during organizational changes, and possess expert executive communication and presentation skills. Minimum Requirements for the role:5+ years of experience in sales engineering, technology sales, and/or leadershipDemonstrated knowledge of routing and switching, and other relevant technologies Preferred Skills:Solutions engineering leadership, experience in developing and executing sales strategies, and planning Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) are highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Experience in understanding customer needs and translating them into effective solutions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs and priorities. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
