This role will ensure the wine program is represented beyond the level of expectations by increasing guest satisfaction, sales, and profitability and achieving excellence in wine service.
  • Support the management team in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and vision for the wine program
  • Provide leadership and direction in the execution and measurement of guest service standards within wine and beverage operations to ensure continued growth and profitability.
  • Maintain the integrity of the wine program through frequent quality checks of opened wines by the glass.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of;
    • all brands
    • particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass
    • bottle selections
    • designated glassware and garnishes for drinks
    • all bar menu items
    • preparation method/time, portion sizes, presentation, and prices.
  • Assist in training staff members on beverage knowledge and systems relating to the wine.
  • Attend wine and beverage tastings and seminars, when available, as part of continuing education to aid in program and personal development.
Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in a comparable fine dining environment
  • Knowledge of wine, cocktail, and beer menus and the ability to service them accordingly
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
