Ideal candidates will prepare and perform various sonography studies per protocol and as ordered per the provider. They will process studies to include preparation for interpretation by the physician and a preliminary test result. Provide patient care in accordance with the standards of care specific to age and the individuals' needs. Coordinate departments QA initiatives. Education Qualifications- Associates degree in allied health, applied science or completion of certificate program is required.
- Bachelors degree in science, allied health or related field is preferred.
- High school diploma/GED AND 5 years working as a sonographer may be considered in lieu of associates degree.
Experience Qualifications- 2 years of vascular ultrasound/sonography experience is required.
- 7 years of sonography/ultrasound experience (with 2 years in vascular sonography/ultrasound) is required if meeting the education equivalency.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
