Overview:
The Clinical Coordinator performs under the daily supervision of the Program Director.
Responsibilities:
- Correlate and coordinate clinical education and evaluate its effectiveness
- Evaluate the progress of student performance in the clinical area
- Assist the Program Director in coordinating clinical education
- Supervise student performance at clinical affiliates
- Develop student objectives and evaluation tools for clinical education
- Perform competency based clinical evaluations
- Maintain student clinical assignments and attendance
- Act as resource to sonography students
- Responsible for Schedule of student clinical assignments to match established JRDMS guidelines
- Assist in continuous program assessment
- Instruct specific units of teaching as necessary
- Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress
- Pursue continuing education in professional practice and instructional methodology
- Cooperate with the Program Director in periodic review and revision of clinical course material
- Provide training and education to clinical preceptors
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience
- Bachelors degree required
- Graduate of an educational program in Sonography
- 2 years of clinical experience as a sonographer
- State certificate as a Sonographer
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling
Travel
- Travel to affiliate clinical sites
Maximum Salary: USD $72,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary: USD $57,600.00/Yr.
