Job Summary | The Sort Farm Operator is responsible for efficiently organizing and moving glass from the Cutting department to the IG Lines. Essential Functions |
- Follow all Safety Practices and Guidelines
- Follow Cardinal Values and Culture of Integrity and Respect
- Operate High Tech Glass Fabrication Equipment
- Capability to utilize and acquire knowledge of various software applications
- Transport racks using rider pallet jack when necessary
- Occasionally remove faulty glass from racks
- Inspect product for quality to meet or exceed Cardinal and customer expectations
- Examine several predicting variables and software, then set up the instruments required to sort the glass.
- Maintains continuous communication with various departments to ensure proper schedules are completed
- Multitasking skills to ensure that glass is sorted effectively
- Willingness to seek out additional roles and responsibilities within your department
- Ability to work with multiple departments and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail
- Flexibility - may be required to work overtime to meet customer deadlines
Workplace Environment |
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and potentially sharp objects
- Noise levels can be high and will vary based on the location in the plant
Prior Experience |
- Consistent Work History - preferably in manufacturing or warehousing experience
- Computer knowledge is required, MS products
- Analytics, problem-solving, and strategic planning
