Job Title: SOS/MT MonitorSummary of Job Duties: The SOS/MT (Safe Off the Streets/Motivational Track) Monitor ensures the safety of clients at all times. To perform safety checks, monitor behavior as well as enforce rules and guidelines.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of women's issues in recovery is helpful. If in recovery, a minimum of 1 year continuous abstinence from drugs/alcohol as well as working an active recovery program is required. Submit to and pass a criminal record check and a drug screening test.This position reports directly to the SOS Supervisor. Will also be supervised by Shift Supervisor and Program Director.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Include the following:+ Ensures safety of all clients in the facility+ Maintains client confidentiality, privacy and demonstrate ethical behavior at all times.+ Adheres to all policies and procedures+ Provides information to potential clients and referral sources/database inputs.+ Conducts initial screenings and may be required to maintain waiting lists.+ Initiates file on each new client upon admission. Keep file documentation up to date, including progress notes, census forms, discharge sheets, staff notes and other documentation as necessary.+ Monitor and document client vital signs.+ Monitors the general health of clients, including distressed withdrawal, and refer to outside services when necessary.+ Takes appropriate action in crisis situations (violence or threats of violence; suicide and threats of suicide; natural disasters; and health crisis situations when EMS or 911 is necessary).+ Performs safety checks on all beds every hour.+ Participates in all scheduled trainings and meetings.+ Completes all required shift documentation.+ Other duties as required. Environmental Data and Job Hazards:+ Hours of work may be subject to irregular and/or flexible hours based on needs or demands.+ Position may require duties to include routine or reasonable anticipated tasks or procedures where there is a degree of actual or potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials.+ All staff are required to participate in yearly trainings regarding infection control and safety in the environment including hazardous waste and blood borne pathogens.+ All new staff must attend training regarding handling physical, verbal threats, acts of violence or other escalating and potential dangerous situations including when police need to be summoned.+ All staff must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation within one month of employment and maintain the certification, if providing direct care.Powered by JazzHR
