Overview:
The Sound Booth Laborer is responsible for installing and disassembling Sound Booths under the direct supervision of the Lead Sound Booth Laborer.
Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work under direct supervision to install and assemble new Sound Booths; disassemble, move, and reinstall Sound Booths within hospitals, clinics, schools, and or businesses.
- Assist Supervisor to transport, move and assemble Sound Booths following proper methods as defined by manufacturer specifications; visually check components for defects/damage and communicate these items to Supervisor.
- Safely perform all assigned tasks, familiar with power tools and moving equipment such as dollies and wheeled carts
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to take direction and apply concepts effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have reliable transportation to work location; Valid Drivers License preferred.
- At least two years related experience required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
Travel:
- This position is subject up to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Occasionally Sound Booths will be disassembled and relocated to a new site; requiring this position to travel to the new location; in this instance mileage may be reimbursed based upon the federal guidelines for mileage reimbursement.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical Ability to lift and/or move large, bulky, heavy Sound Booth components; up to 50 pounds; may be on ladders and elevated work areas.
- Steel or composite toe shoes/boots, required.
