Sourcer - Oil & Gas Industry
Oil & Gas client located in Northwest Houston has an immediate need for an experienced Sourcer.
This position is focused solely on sourcing and delivering resumes to recruiters, with no responsibility for candidate screening or interviewing. Sourcer Job Description (summary)We are seeking a dedicated Sourcer with a strong background in oil and gas, ideally within the reciprocating compressor and diesel engine industry, to support our recruiting efforts in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will excel in identifying technical talent and building robust pipelines to meet hiring needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with recruiters to understand hiring needs and target candidate profiles.
- Source candidates using various tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, industry forums, and social media platforms.
- Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
- Collect resumes and ensure they align with the specified criteria outlined by the recruiters.
- Pass sourced resumes directly to recruiters for further evaluation and screening.
- Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor hiring practices to identify sourcing opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in sourcing, preferably in the oil and gas or heavy equipment industry.
- Familiarity with reciprocating compressors, diesel engines, or technical roles in the energy sector is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other platforms.
- Strong ability to conduct online research and talent mapping.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple sourcing requests.
- Experience using an ATS to track sourcing activities and candidates.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
