About the Role:

Wing is looking for an Indirect Sourcing Lead to join our Strategic Sourcing team based in Palo Alto, CA. Reporting to the Head of Sourcing, you oversee indirect sourcing efforts for Wing's software and services needs and will leverage your experience to deliver significant value to key stakeholders by managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, process compliance, executing on Wing's goals in diversity, risk and sustainability, and bringing maturity to process and governance execution. Your core category responsibilities will include software and service providers. The ideal candidate has a passion for working in new technologies, demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices bringing services to scale globally, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

What You'll Do:

  • Engage and own the commercial relationship with software and services partners and responsible for cost negotiations, continuity of service, risk management, driving operational and cost efficiencies through process excellence.
  • Core category responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Corporate Professional Services, Technology, Software services, Marketing and Communications, HR/People management, Operational Services and Supply Chain professional services, such as system integrators, managed services providers, staff augmentation providers, maintenance, surge resourcing, etc.
  • Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders to develop strategic sourcing plans with well-defined cost savings and avoidance targets and track them regularly.
  • Achieve year-over-year improvements in professional services strategy and spend, without sacrificing quality and service.
  • Partner with a broad mix of stakeholders on category strategy, contract negotiation strategy, contract evaluation, redlining, and negotiation, such as Technology, Finance, Legal, Privacy, Information Security, and Internal Controls.
  • Continually improve supplier performance by setting measurable, contractual, performance targets and related supplier performance management.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the market such as emerging technologies and suppliers, and evaluate and address any impact of changes in supplier status (e.g. via acquisition).
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, sharing best practices and promoting continuous learning.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team, fostering their growth through hands-on coaching and providing opportunities for skill enhancement and career development.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in supply chain development, sourcing management, or strong engineering background in product development.
  • 5+ years of people management experience; specifically managing high performing sourcing teams.
  • Experience managing software and services vendors, supply chain management, software licensing models, pricing, and contract terms, with knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in vendor consolidation and offshoring.
  • Experience in setting up SLAs, KPIs and managing supplier performance.
  • Knowledge of UTM software and drone tech landscape.
  • Analytical/negotiation skills with the ability to toggle between strategic and detail oriented thinking.
  • Tenacious problem solving & issue resolution skills.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence across multiple functional teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments.
  • Excellent communicators, capable of working in multinational environments, driven and motivated by accomplishing extraordinary objectives.

The US base salary for this full-time position is the salary below + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary details during the hiring process.

$204,000 — $230,000 USD
