Job Summary:

The Manager of Internal Freight Sourcing will work with Functional and Business to help define Sourcing strategies and lead procurement and supplier relationship efforts across the Global International Logistics Spend including Air Freight, Ocean Freight and Dray categories ensuring compliance with corporate strategy. In addition to ensuring contracts and rates are in place to provide continuous movement of finished goods and raw materials, the position will also work to identify and pursuing savings opportunities.

General Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing

* Category role - Create and implement a strategic sourcing plan for all assigned categories delivering best in class metrics for service, compliance, productivity, innovation and stakeholder approval.

* Develop and implement program of productivity leveraging enterprise scale and market expertise to identify and achieve cost reduction targets.

* Leverage global scale to provide access to relevant logistics capacity through negotiations and contracting at competitive costs across all origins and destinations.

* Manage defined categories of spend and vendors across the businesses, analyze category markets, translate into actionable strategies and forward-looking analyses to drive productivity for those categories managed directly.

* Repository for category expertise

* Identify supplier risk and develop mitigation countermeasures to ensure seamless transition of suppliers.

* Project management skills needed to facilitate effective on time deliverables within budget and scope.

* Prioritize timelines and needs of multiple concurrent projects.

* Manage needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders in myriad roles across a Global organization.

* Drive timelines to completion on committed project dates.

* Understand and drive purchasing measures including productivity, payment terms targets, etc.

Organizational Effectiveness

* Develop and implement Sourcing strategies working cross-functionally with various internal stakeholders.

* Directs efforts that lead to cost optimization, improved quality & service while enhancing innovation through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and risk mitigation.

* Collaborate with and support key stakeholders on day-to-day operational needs to ensure engagement, buy-in and ownership of key sourcing strategies.

Qualifications and Education:

* Bachelor's degree in business or related field, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.

* 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, preferably with experience in transportation procurement

* Strong communication and good oral and written English communication skills - additional languages are a plus.

* Excellent negotiation skills, advanced sourcing, relationship management and supply base management skills.

* High commitment to delivering the target and driving a performance culture within the team.

* Ability to build solid relationships with teammates and business partners by fostering teamwork, partnership and collaboration in a virtual or face-to-face environment.

* Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

* Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet strict deadlines.

* Ability to respond quickly and effectively in a fast-paced work environment with many interruptions.
