Pay: $75000 - 85000 / yearJob Overview:Whiskey Red's is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will be a vital leader in the kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef in managing daily operations, ensuring food quality, and inspiring creativity in the menu. You will play a key role in maintaining high culinary standards while delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for high-quality food production
  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring proper cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices are followed.
  • Monitor food quality and consistency to ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's standards.
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain cost control through efficient use of ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create new dishes, seasonal menus, and special event offerings.
  • Step in to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Education/ Experience/ Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Detailed oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and time management.
  • Ability to interface with various levels of management
  • Strong familiarity with OSHA and all local Department of Health Regulations.
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Outlook, Esysco, and MS Excel preferred.
  • 2 years related experience in a similar role is required
  • Must be neatly dressed and well-groomed in clean Company uniforms at all times.
Physical Demands:
  • Physical demands include light work, prolonged walking and/or standing along with the occasional exertion of up to 45lbs of force.
