Within just six months of opening, it ascended to the pinnacle of Naver's search rankings for 'Ikseon-dong,' demonstrating its exceptional appeal surpassing 10,000 social media searches in an impressively short timeframe.Job Description:As our Sous Chef, you will play a key role in our kitchen, assisting the Head Chef in menu creation, food preparation, and kitchen management. You will oversee kitchen staff, ensure food quality, and maintain a clean and efficient workspace. Your expertise in Korean culinary techniques and ingredients will be essential to our success.Responsibilities:- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development of dishes.- Prepare and cook high-quality food in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.- Contribute creative ideas for seasonal menus and special events.Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a Korean or Asian cuisine restaurant.- Strong knowledge of Korean culinary techniques and traditional dishes.- Excellent leadership and communication skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Join us at Oncheon NYC and be part of this brand's first location in the U.S.!
