Title: Business Services Representative- Good Jobs Challenge
Classification: Non-Exempt
Scope of Position
The Business Services Representative (BSR) will support the Southeastern PA Good Jobs Challenge (GJC) through building strong employer relationships within the healthcare, life sciences, energy, and infrastructure sectors that result in talent solutions such as direct hire, On-The-Job training, and active participation in GJC guest speaker and hiring events.
Essential Functions
- Establish working relationships with local employers in healthcare, life sciences, energy, and infrastructure through both virtual and in-person engagements
- Respond to incoming employer inquiries about GJC
- Continually review interested employers and their engagement status with GJC services
- Ensure employers across all GJC-served counties are educated and receive GJC services
- Connect employers to business services through local workforce development boards and industry-specific backbone organizations
- Collaborate with backbone organizations, workforce development boards, and PA CareerLink business services teams to streamline services and reduce duplicate efforts
- Match hiring employers to GJC training providers based on skills training and credentials
- Support in job matching between GJC job seekers and engaged employers
- Create On-The-Job Training (OJT) opportunities as a bridge solution for newly trained job seekers and employer vacancies
- Facilitate the completion of OJT master agreements and addendums
- Partner with Project Accountant to track OJT obligations, receive and process OJT invoices
- Enter employer information and services received into all appropriate databases
- Complete and data enter employment verifications in a timely manner
- Attend weekly team meetings with GJC team
- Network at Chamber of Commerce and other business events to develop business leads
- Provide key performance indicator metric updates and progress reports

- Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors Degree required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have 3+ years of experience in customer service, communications, contract management, and/or sales
- Use language reflective of a commitment to diversity; demonstrate cultural competence
- Experience in WIOA policies preferred
- Must be comfortable making presentations to large groups of people
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid drivers license and automobile required
