Overview
JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at in all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. We aim to hire individuals who are ready and committed to exceed the expectation of every guest by genuinely creating lasting memories, maintaining a positive attitude and by providing outstanding service every time.
BASIC FUNCTION: The Spa Front Desk Supervisor oversees all functions of the Front Desk, Spa Area and Attendant Staff. The Spa Front Desk Supervisor will assist all other Supervisors and the Spa Leaders in running a smooth and efficient department.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
* High school graduate or equivalent, preferred college degree.
* Two-year experience in a supervisory role.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Handle Guest Complaints.
* Previous spa experience preferred.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Train all Spa Desk Receptionists in all areas of their job description, including SpaSoft, POS, using Training Activity Checklists and other resources, as necessary.
* Assure Voicemail Call-Backs and Confirmation Calls are Completed by End of Day.
* Assist other Supervisors and Spa Director with all aspects of the Spa Services and Spa Facilities.
* Closely monitor all linen inventory, ordering, and receiving.
* Prepare a weekly schedule for Spa Receptionist and Attendant staff.
* Assist with all inventories and preparing the proper purchase orders.
* Coordinate department meeting agendas along with Spa Director & Assistant Spa Director.
* Assist Spa Director in interviewing potential Receptionists and Attendant Candidates.
* Effectively communicate with Engineering, create spa punch lists; follow-up on facility maintenance.
* Successfully manage all Spa Operations in the absence of the Spa Director/Assistant Spa Director.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
* Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
* Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
* Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
* Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Leadership.
* Attend necessary meetings in the absence of the Asst. Director or Director.
ENVIRONMENT: Working both indoors and outdoors. Indoors in a well ventilated, climate-controlled environment involving exercise equipment, whirlpools, pool, saunas and steam. Outside patio with furniture.
