Senior Quality Manager (L Level) to join our Space Launch Systems in
New Orleans, LA.We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our Quality Assurance team with a proven track record of leading change, inspiring others, and challenging the status quo. In this role, you will be driving improvements to our QMS and within the program to ensure teams are prepared for and continuously improving with the goal of zero injuries, zero defects, and zero FOD. Position Responsibilities: - Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Manages a team of quality professionals (managers and individual contributors) and align functional teams within an inclusive and collaborative environment supporting professional growth / development
- Develops functional excellence for Quality across the supported Program
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.
- Champions key initiatives such as; Safety risk Management, BPSM, analytics-based decision making, forward looking measures, standardized work, and structured problem-solving.
- Leads by example through the use of Seek, Speak & Listen to create an inclusive culture
- Provides education, coaching and ensures effective execution of the Quality Management System
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- More than 3 years of manufacturing and/or quality management experience
- Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
- More than 3 years' experience with Quality Management Systems and/or the One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
- More than 3 years of experience leading and influencing people in a Quality organization
- Experience analyzing data, summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, Engineering, or STEM
- More than 3 years of experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership
- More than 3 years of experience with team building, developing and motivating employees.
- More than 1 year of demonstrated skills in leading systematic problem solving
