Location: Beloit, WI School: Gaston Elementary Pay Rate: $20-$25/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Department: Special Education Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Para Educator to join our Special Education team at Gaston Elementary in Beloit. The ideal candidate will support students with special needs, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience. Fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) is required to effectively communicate with our diverse student population. Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree; or pass a formal assessment test (ParaEducator Master Teacher).
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Special Education Program Aide Certification #883.
  • Ability to lift/move 50 pounds where applicable.
  • Basic information technology and media skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, patience, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment (e.g., standing, bending, kneeling).
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain the Wisconsin Par-educator license.
