Salary: $18.49 - $20.37 Hourly Location : 14 Canterbury Road, NH Job Type: Seasonal Employee Job Number: 2025-51b Department: Parks & Recreation Division: Recreation Opening Date: 11/01/2024 DescriptionSPARC Guest Service Associate (payrate $18.49 -$20.37 per hour based on experience) Must be 18+ years to apply Saturdays and Sundays 1:00-6:00pm, December - March This position will be the lead for our SPARC program, they will be responsible for planning and implementing programming based in both the gym and art room. The SPARC Guest Service Associate (GSA) will also be responsible for supervising SPARC Attendants during the program. The SPARC GSA will work with the Recreation Supervisor and Assistant Director to develop programming for the SPARC program. Applicants should be energetic, and have some experience working with kids. Ideal candidate will be able to commit to all shifts for the entirety of the program. Candidates should also have basic sports knowledge and ability to plan activities for the duration of the program daily. Overview of SPARC (Sports, Play, Arts and Recreation Club) This program is designed to provide Concord and Penacook resident youth with a free, safe space on weekend afternoons during the winter season to learn, grow, and strengthen community bonds through structured play and activities at the City-Wide Community Center. The department is looking to hire staff needed to start the program in December. As we are building connections and relationships with the participants our desire is to hire staff who can work both weekend days however we do anticipate the possibility of hiring staff who might only be able to work one of the two weekend days. Applicants should be organized, energetic, experience working with kids and ability to lead a diverse team. Seasonal employees get holiday pay for all City of Concord recognized holidays. Seasonal employees who are scheduled to work on holidays will get paid time and a half as well.
