This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Defiance GPS on a full-time basis. The Role: This position will be responsible for purchase orders for maintenance, asset inventory, stock room organization, physical inventory counts, shipping and receiving maintenance parts and the addition of new parts into CMMS (Micro main). Also maintaining that validating that all parts are entered into Maximo accordingly. You will coach and lead the organization and suppliers to timely execution of program work with perfection. Ensures materials are ordered and in stock while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. The Spare Parts Coordinator will be responsible for controlling the equipment spare parts procurement, stocking, distribution, and inventory, ensuring critical spare parts stocking levels are maintained & other required spare parts are ordered and received promptly and physical inventory matches CMMS inventory. You will coach and lead the organization and suppliers to timely execution of program work with perfection. What You'll Do:

  • Model the safety first behaviors we expect of all employees by following all safety policies and wearing required PPE
  • Maintain a stock of spare parts. Assuring that our supplier uses Lean Management strategies for cost savings
  • Establish inventory controls (item management in CMMS, Min/Max Levels, Cycle Counts, usage reports), including fixed assets & spare parts physical inventory
  • Keep needed spare parts documentation available and updated.
  • Attend monthly budgeting meetings and parts inventory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current potential vendors to build long term connections
  • Monitor backorder report daily
  • Maintain vendor relations, including ensuring invoices, shipment slips, and other billing issues are taken care of promptly
  • Update maintenance records
  • Manage files for maintenance
Additional Description Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) :
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience in logistics
  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally, both internally and externally and build relationships
  • Experience managing commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performance
  • Demonstrated competence in negotiating skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • High level of analytical ability where problems can be extremely complex
  • Developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
