Job Description:
Description 1. Thinks, communicates and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and members when it comes to desired staff behaviors; promotes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in all job-related functions. 2. Complete intake process for children; including inquiry cards, screenings, demographic information, and TANF registration forms. Complete Get Ready to Read, PENS-B, PICCOLO, and ASQ/ASQ-SE twice a year and Learning Plans every two months for each child on caseload, carrying a minimum caseload of 40 active children. 3. Conduct at least monthly face-to-face home visits with children to aid in the successful implementation of the child's learning plan and to carry out prescribed SPARK lesson plans. 4. Attend Parent Partner meetings, trainings, and on-going professional development as required by SPARK Ohio. 5. Provide linkage to appropriate community resources; including quality early childhood education opportunities, Responsive Services Team (RST), special needs preschool, and other social services programs and provide the support and oversight required to ensure the smooth transition to kindergarten. 6. Maintain clear well organized records according to SPARK and YMCA guidelines, turn in files for ongoing review at least twice per year, and enter SPARK data into FileMaker Pro system within five business days. 7. Attend recruitment and outreach activities to recruit families to participate in the SPARK program and act as marketing representative for ECRN+ and other Y programs. 8. Complete TANF forms, approval, and follow up information for all TANF eligible families and/or complete United Way billing and data, dependent upon funding source. 9. Provide monthly short burst success stories for TANF billing and reporting or quarterly in depth success stories for United Way billing and reporting. 10. Assist with supply list, ordering, and packing for each program year. Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a social services field (social worker, psychology, child development, education, or related field) or a combination of education and experience, experience with home visiting.
  • Passionate belief in the Y's cause of nurturing the potential of all youth, supporting healthy living for all people and finding ways to help and support our neighbors.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Must have good time management skills, have good attention to detail, and be competent in Windows/Excel applications.
  • Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative team approach to solving challenging situations.
