Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com. We are currently looking for an E&I Specialist/ E&I Specialist Sr. for our Pineville, LA office. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Perform mechanical & electrical maintenance and repair on reciprocating and centrifugal compression and auxiliary equipment at the Pineville Compressor Station. Trouble shoot electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic issues on pumps, motors, breakers, sensors, relay panels, circuit boards, control panels etc. Ability to calibrate and troubleshoot transmitters. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, Inspection and maintenance of the Turbine, operating the station, working on Solar Turbines, valve inspection and yard maintenance, pipeline duties and E&I related tasks, DOT monthly workorders. Will also be responsible for various duties at the Pineville Compressor Station. Responsible for maintaining all tools and equipment assigned to this position. Be an advocate of safe work practices and be willing to serve as the lead on various projects. This position will also have the additional responsibilities to operate the station on a rotating basis and be expected to respond to call-outs and be on a call-out rotation related to pipeline/compressor activities. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response. Successful candidate will be expected to acquire Operator qualification tasks and ECP Skills necessary to become proficient and qualified. This position is also responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance and repair procedures as associated with the DOT/PHMSA 192 standards. Successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 road miles from the Pineville Compressor Station 3983 Old Marksville Hwy Pineville, LA in order to handle call outs and emergency response appropriately. Successful candidate will be required to complete Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental and Company policies and procedures. This position will report to Pineville Station daily. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: 1 to 5 years of gas pipeline operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical / oil industry experience. Excellent verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, and a history of safe work are required. Mechanical, electrical and technical maintenance Skills Ability to work outside in hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments and ability to stand for long periods of time and climb stairs and ladders. Ability to utilize a PC and I-phone and manage a filing system. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet. Ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record with no restrictions. Chosen candidate will be required to maintain a Louisiana Class D license. PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: 3 (plus) years of gas pipeline operations and maintenance experience. Natural gas compression experience.
