Job Description:
Responsibilities: Provides diversified administrative management support to the Chief of Benefits Operations ('CBO') and Senior Director of Benefit Operations ('SDBO') in the day-to-day operational functions of the Benefit Fund within a constantly changing environment and business model. This role is essential in ensuring smooth and efficient operations and the successful execution of strategic initiatives. Assist Director(s) in facilitating timely follow up on multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met and project objectives are achieved. Collaborate with various departments to gather data and information necessary for project implementation. Attend monthly individual Departmental meetings to track and monitor key discussion points ensuring that action items are identified and followed up on. Formulate comprehensive task lists, corrective action plans, objectives, and management reports for continuous monitoring and oversight of projects and initiatives. Help identify opportunities for process optimization and assist the CBO & SDBO in implementing solutions to enhance operational workflows. Provide technical and other support to the CBO and SDBO on all special projects taking ownership as required Coordinate all departmental activities to achieve the timely preparation of annual departmental budgets Monitor monthly variance and spending reports Track and troubleshoot escalated issues to resolution. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent years of work experience required, Master's preferred Minimum three (3) year's experience coordinating projects from planning to implementation including development, coordination, and follow up required; experience providing Administrative/Executive support to Senior Level Management and work experience in in a health plan or healthcare setting required Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Experience with the preparation and development of key performance indicators, workflows, protocols, and policies Knowledge of the eligibility criteria, claims processing, provider relations, and call center operations Taft-Hartley Fund knowledge (non-profit sector) Advanced technical skills in Microsoft programs Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including courtesy, tact and discretion. Ability to interact effectively with senior managers and staff at all levels. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and complete projects in a timely fashion and on a deadline
