Job Description: Part time Special Education ABS / SLD Teacher at partial hospitalization program in Faribault. This position is for 2.5 hrs/day and commences on approximately 8/19/24 with the start of the 24-25 school year. This is a position in a partial hospitalization program in Faribault working with secondary students transitioning back to school from hospital placements
Qualifications: Experience working with students with academic and behavior challenges; knowledge of due process forms and procedures required; knowledge of MN ABS and SLD criteria and the evaluation process including Functional Behavior Assessments; understanding the use of Positive Behavior Supports; knowledge of how to write a Behavior Intervention Plan; ability to work with a team; training or willingness to be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI); and excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly qualified in Math, Reading and English preferred. All candidates will be considered.
Licensure: Licensure by the State of Minnesota in Elementary Education as well as Licensure by the State of Minnesota in ABS or SLD; multiple Licensures preferred.
