Position Type: SUPPORT STAFF/Special Education AssistantDate Posted: 7/22/2024Location: Jamison ElementaryDate Available: 09/03/2024Closing Date: 09/30/2024 POSITION: Special Education Assistant - Instructional Part-time/No benefits LOCATION: Jamison Elementary School AVAILABLE: 2024/2025 School Year HOURS: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM (25 hours per week) COMPENSATION: $18.43* p/hr DESCRIPTION: Perform a wide variety of duties in support of student(s) individualized education programs in both specialand regular education settings as directed and supervised by a professional staff member. *If student toileting is required, additional $1.25 per hour will be added to base pay. Must work as a team member and exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Candidates must have patience and enjoy working with children. All other duties as assigned. Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years related college course work or Associate Degree. Attach copy of diploma or transcript to online application.
