In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to special education students. We have openings for all levels from preK - 12. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with other educators, therapists, and families to help children meet developmental and academic milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each child, based on their unique learning needs and abilities.
• Provide direct instruction in various academic, social, and behavioral areas, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies and techniques.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with parents and other professionals, including speech therapists and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and prepare reports as required.
• Promote positive behaviors and create a safe, supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field.
• CT state teaching certification in Special Education.
