Spaces are limited, so apply to join our team today!MainJob Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities: Plan,prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learningexperiences with Core Knowledge, Eureka, and Core Virtues Curriculum in a smallgroup setting and/or classroom push-in Updateall necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, districtpolicies, and school regulations ConstructIEP and/or 504 documents in collaboration with team members Scheduleand participate in committee on special education meetings with Director of SpecialEducation Maintaina positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning Administerschool-wide assessments and use data to inform instruction Identifyand select instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs Userelevant educational and/or assistive technology to support instruction Observeand evaluate student's performance and development Maintainaccurate and complete records of students' progress toward goals anddevelopment Appropriatelymanage student behavior in the classroom and establish positive relationships Participatein department and school meetings, parent meetings, and professionaldevelopment Communicatenecessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regardingstudent progress and student needs Adhereto CCA school policies and procedures Workcollaboratively with classroom assistants and the Director of Special Educationas needed Maintainprofessionalism in the workplace JobSkills & Requirements: Bachelor'sdegree in special education, literacy, or related field SouthCarolina State Certification (Special Education)PreferredQualifications:Master's degree in special education or related field; Experience with NorthwestEvaluation Association (NWEA)ApplicationDirections: Please send a cover letter, resume, and a list of threeprofessional references to ...@cherokee.education.
