Job Description:
Arisa Health is seeking candidates to fill a special education teacher position at our Therapeutic Day Treatment program in Springdale. Candidates must have a current Arkansas Special Education Teaching certification or have a current Arkansas Teaching certification and be willing to obtain certification in Special Education. A bachelor's degree is required for this position.Arisa Health is Arkansas' largest and most comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider. Formed by the affiliation of 4 long-standing Arkansas community mental health centers, Arisa Health leads with exceptional care that nurtures health and well-being for all. Arisa provides outpatient services, Crisis services and emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children services, intensive adult services, medical services, and residential services in 41 Arkansas counties.Candidates should have experience working with Individualized Education Plans, 504s, and behavioral/functional support plans as well as experience with statewide testing.The ability to work collaboratively with a team, good communication skills, patience, flexibility, and good time management skills are required.The Special Education teacher will be providing classroom instruction to students with emotional and behavioral difficulties.This position is classified as full-time, exempt (salaried).Work hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. during the academic year.What we offer our team members:
