Special Procedures Technologist Location: Carbondale, IL Duration: 13 weeks Shift Information: Shift Start Time: 0700 Description: Position Details Type of Resource Requested (ex: RN, Physician Assistant, etc.): Cath Lab Tech Department Specific Details (ex. nurse/patient ratio, float or weekend requirements, charting, equipment, special qualifications, or certs.): EP experience preferred; coronary and peripheral case experience such a CTO, carotid stenting, , and complex peripheral intervention. Structural experience preferred Role Specific Responsibilities Performs diagnostic radiographic exams. Utilizes PACS and EMR systems Performs interventional procedures per protocol and established procedures. Maintains appropriate IV and Contrast Competency Follows established protocols and procedures for proper patient position, exposure control, and radiation protection. Performs office duties as needed. Communicates clearly and effectively with all involved in the patient care process. Cleans and inspects departmental equipment Cleans and stocks Imaging rooms.
