Qualifications:
* High school diploma, GED, and/or college hours preferred.
* TimeClock Plus (TCP) experience preferred.
* Accounting or payroll experience preferred.
* Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Good analytical problem-solving skills.
Primary Purpose:
Primarily responsible for assisting in the processing of the district's payrolls under the direction of the Director of Payroll in the TimeClock Plus (TCP) and Tyler systems for the Food Services Department.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
* Assists in preparing, completing, and processing semi-monthly and supplemental payrolls. This includes balancing of pay, deduction totals, and correction of errors.
* Process and audit employee personnel actions and other documentation for new hires, separations, transfers, and other changes for Food Services employees including calculating and verifying the accuracy of pay.
* Assists with TimeClock Plus (TCP) interface duties as assigned to include comparability of data between TCP and Tyler systems.
* Coordination of deadlines and processing with Food Services.
* Audits and calculates for accuracy employee timesheets regarding leave taken, comp time, overtime, supplemental and dock pay for employees in the payroll software.
* Assist with other payroll duties, including but not limited to TRS reporting, check preparation, salary verification, and employee assistance.
* Utilizes payroll software to maintain payroll and required reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
* Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

* General understanding of payroll and accounting terminology and procedures.

* Operation of computer and assigned software, printer, scanner, copier, calculator, fax, and check sealer.
* Ability to work independently with little direction.
