Responsible for efficient and effective management, coordination and oversight of food and nutrition programs and projects with regards to food service operations, finance, information technology, and/or human relations. Ensures compliance with city ordinance and state regulations regarding implementation of program to support student access to healthy and nutritious foods.
Essential Functions
* Support of food and nutrition program operations and accountability. Position may include duties in the areas of finance, human resources, information technology, sanitation and elective programs.
* Evaluates all aspects of program operations to promote student access and improve food quality, accountability and student satisfaction. Maintains compliance with MSDE and USDA regulations.
* Develops operational procedures and training materials for food and nutrition and school-based staff.
* Provides updated training and procedures to relevant staff for food and nutritional compliance.
Monitors and evaluates food program performance and provides recommendations for improved operations.
* Acts as a liaison between school-based, food and nutrition staff and external partners.
* Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follow federal laws, state laws, school board's policies and the professional standards.

Minimum Salary 78848.00
Desired Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree and Master's degree in Nutrition, Public Health or Hospitality/Institutional Food Service preferred. Degree must be from an accredited college or institution.
* Other equivalent combinations of applicable education, training and experience, such as Servsafe Instructor Certification or 4 years' experience in a supervisory position in Food Services, may be considered.
* Two years' experience in food service, nutrition or public health setting required. Certification as Servsafe Food Protection Manager required.
* Maryland or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
* Skilled in providing individual technical assistance, problem solving, and evaluation.
* Ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate reports.
* Ability to read, interprets, apply, relay and implement policy, rules, and federal regulations.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Office.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks.
