**Job Summary**

The Expert, Change Management is responsible for planning, developing, and executing change management activities for business transformation projects. The role works closely with the business lead and other key stakeholders to ensure that people, process, and technology changes are prioritized and change management best practices are applied to the adoption of the new ways of working.

**Main Responsibilities**

**Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement**

Design and deliver change management strategies and plans to support teams in adopting new ways of working

Engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Identify stakeholders and conduct impact assessments

Contribute to the continuous refinement of the adoption strategy and plan, in line with identified adoption risks

Create risk mitigation tactics to minimize resistance

Design and lead change network groups to support teams in adopting new ways of working in their units

Liaise with other key groups at CN and externally when required

Identify and assess people risks, team readiness and overall adoption

Propose change management mitigation tactics to support teams based on readiness and adoption results

**Communications**

Develop and execute strategic communication plans to support the overall change management plan

Draft communications and oversee review cycles and approvals for transformation adoption

Create the change journey communications that will drive the change adoption and understanding of the future business model

Distribute communications to internal audiences

**Training and Performance Support**

Collaborate with the various teams to identify training needs through training assessment

Handle the creation of the required and relevant training material for impacted stakeholders

Ensure that all communication and engagement activities align with the training strategy and plan

**Working Conditions**

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress. The role requires minimal travel (10%) within North America.

**Requirements**

**Experience**

Change Management

Minimum 10 years of experience working with upper management and leading change management activities within a complex project or program

o Experience in delivering large-scale technology implementations and working with Operations in a unionized environment

o Experience working effectively across divisional lines in a complex multi-site organization

**Education/Certification/Designation**

Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Behaviour, Management, Human Resources or similar field

Change Management Certification (PROSCI)

Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access)

Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)*

Solid understanding of the logistics and transportation industry*

*Any knowledge for any of the above would be considered as an asset
