Provides customer service and technology assistance at the front desk for students, faculty, and staff. This position will assist in updating the Learning Center's online resources and will also be cross-trained to provide support for services and spaces within the Center for Learning and Innovation (CLI).Duties and Responsibilities:•Assist in the planning, development, and facilitation of synchronous and asynchronous workshops on technology use (such as AI), study skills, and time management.•Update and maintain select web content and digital resources, ensuring information is current and easily accessible for students and staff.•Serve as the first point of contact for front desk inquiries related to tutoring services and technology use.•Assist students with a variety of questions, including help with MS Word, Canvas, printing, Zoom, basic AI tools, and Adobe products like Premiere.•Assist with data entry and the compilation of usage statistics for reporting purposes.•Participate in Learning Center marketing efforts and outreach activities, promoting available services to the student body.•Support the development and implementation of new learning resources and educational tools.•Help troubleshoot minor technical issues with student devices or Learning Center equipment.•Provides internal departmental support including scheduling appointments, recording staff meeting minutes, and preparing reports, handouts, forms, etc.•Assist with other administrative duties as needed to ensure smooth Learning Center operations.•Provide support for a variety of special projects as directed. Minimum Expectations & Requirements
- Associate's degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create, edit, and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Website Content and Design Support: Basic skills in updating website content and performing simple design tasks, with the expectation of achieving proficiency within 3 months.
- Adaptability and Openness to Change: Comfortable with and resilient in changing environments; demonstrates a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving processes, technology, and organizational needs.
- Public Speaking and Recording Comfort: Comfortable speaking publicly, whether presenting information to groups or leading workshops. Comfortable with their voice and/or face being recorded for various purposes, including but not limited to instructional videos, workshops, and training materials.
