As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the design, development and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands-on position that plans, prepares, issues, and aligns production demand with internal/external processing requirements to ensure a controlled flow of deliveries. Collaborates with Schedulers, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory, and Production Control to ensure production material and production completion dates support Program delivery expectations.

Ensures major projects, program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities:

  • Intakes internal customer demand including launch manifest, and creates a manufacturing plan based on program schedule, customer date, labor and machine resource availability.
  • Accounts for expected make/buy part availability and lead-time evaluations.
  • Reconciles engineering bill of materials with manufacturing bill of materials using PLM software, loads demand into MRP system
  • Reviews accuracy of demand signals and monitors execution of MRP messages.
  • MRP advocate, driving improvements and promotes best practices throughout business units.
  • Coordinate with Master Scheduler to ensure production schedules are driven to dates that meet the programs' requirements but do not exceed available capacity
  • Shares forecast assumptions and impacts of strategic activates with various stakeholders.
  • Contribute to S&OP and Strategic planning discussions with leadership teams
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting periodic status of milestone completions back to Operations Leadership and Master Scheduler
  • Works closely with production team to determine the needs and constraints of the manufacturing shop floor, technicians and schedules work accordingly.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Program Management, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure production and customer specifications are accurate and production schedules are timely.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Production Management, Business Management, Finance, Industrial Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management.
  • 2 + years recent production control or supply chain experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • 2 + years' experience with loading demand to drive MRP and working with & reconciling eBOMS/mBOMS
  • Previous experience running or facilitating S&OP meetings
  • Thorough understanding of capacity planning and bottleneck resolution
  • Prior experience setting up part masters, planning parameters and executing MRP messages/signals.
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills as well as advanced MS Office user
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • SQL, Tableau, Python or PowerBI skills highly desired
  • Windchill or other PLM software experience highly desired
  • Proficient with Excel advanced formulas and Power Query functions
  • Manufacturing Lead, supplier management, program management experience highly desired
  • Experience with MS Project or Primavera (P6)
  • Reads and understands technical documents including blueprints andschematics
