  • Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
  • Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota
  • Support/initiate the development and execution of projects to improve Stamping and Body Weld KPI's (Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, People, Environment)
  • Support development and execution of annual plans aligned with company and department objectives
  • Introduce new stamping and welding line technology as required.
  • Understand the technical aspects of stamping and welding operations and continuously improve process control methods
  • Support and lead problem solving as required for design, manufacturing, supplied parts, and equipment
  • Monitor dimensional accuracy data and proactively lead process/equipment changes to improve body accuracy
  • Be a technical resource for production, maintenance, and tool & die as needed to support manufacturing operations
  • Coordinate and manage supplier/contractor activity to include job scope, expectations, safety, and schedules
  • Support new model launch (pilot) planning, equipment buyoff and trials
  • Foster two-way communication at all levels to ensure real issues are known
  • Conduct all activities with safety as top priority
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the department
  • Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)
What You Bring
  • Knowledge of computer related systems to support manufacturing (3D modeling, CMM, metrology tools, formability analysis, etc.)
  • Knowledge of sheet metal stamping, weld technology, and joining processes
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
What Will Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering
  • 2 years' plant level experience in engineering
  • Project management or change point management experience
  • Automotive OEM experience
  • Hands-on experience in automotive technology or high-volume manufacturing
