Responsible for providing technical and client support to assist Specialty Lines Energy Underwriters. Role has an external focus and is responsible for monitoring the centralized mailbox, handling account assignment and file set-up. In addition, partners with underwriters in requesting information for both new business and renewals and follow-up for any missing information. Also prepares submission files, requests modeling and engineering reviews, inputs statistical information needed to develop quotes and policy development, participates in analyzing and documenting underwriting and related processes and assists with handling mid-term changes and follow-up on any account payment issues as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
+ Previous underwriting, reinsurance experience or policy administration/policy issuance experience
+ Experience with HSB is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
+ General insurance/reinsurance industry knowledge
+ Ability to understand machinery and equipment exposures and coverages preferred
+ Working knowledge of CAT modeling preferred
+ Ability to maintain and/or build relationships internally and externally
+ Solid analytical skills
+ HSB Product knowledge
+ Organization and time management skills
+ Project Management skills
+ Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
+ Detail oriented and results-driven
+ HSB systems (Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire ClaimsCenter, Helios, QRIS, eCMS, PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
